The Policy Learning Meeting (PLM) organised on the 6th of November 2025 in Timisoara, Romania by CPIP, brought together 21 policymakers (responsible for education reforms and innovation frameworks) and educational leaders (head teachers, school directors), for an in‑depth exchange on policy innovation, and the integration of citizen‑driven insights into policymaking. The meeting was structured as a face‑to‑face event combining presentations, participatory discussions, and networking activities. The format encouraged interaction and reflection.

CPIP presented and discussed about the AELIA White Paper, including its conceptual framework, methodological approach, and key findings. The discussion focused on detailed considerations for integrating public input and educational expertise into institutional processes. We also informed participants about the AELIA Policy Recommendation Report, with a focus on lessons learned from pilot activities conducted in Greece, Romania, Cyprus, and Serbia. The plenary session was focused on common challenges such as time constraints, and supportive policy environments.
In addition to the White Paper, participants had the opportunity to provide feedback on the presented Aelia materials, exploring possibilities for further collaboration, and discussing how AELIA tools could be scaled beyond the project’s pilot countries.

Overall, participants were very satisfied with the Aelia tools presented and agreed on the good organisation of the meeting. They mentioned that the AELIA MOOC serves as a practical and accessible learning resource for policymakers, educators and other interested parties, covering theoretical foundations, case studies, reflection for engagement, and exercises to support (school) eco practices.
