Hello everyone!
My name is Olympia Papoulia and I’m from Patras, Greece.
I work as a primary school teacher at a private school in our beautiful town.
Our school promotes environmental awareness through ESD and GCED projects.
I strongly believe that education must be a path for personal transformation, which can lead to the societal changes needed for all of us to address global problems and create a more sustainable, peaceful and just world for all.
So it is absolutely necessary to  help children connect with nature and understand sustainability.
I hope the AELIA MOOC will give me practical tools for teaching ESD creatively.
I look forward to sharing ideas with fellow educators from different countries.
Together, we can inspire our students to care for people and the planet!

Hello! It's Filachti, teacher of primary school in Crete. Our school has actively embraced the principles of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) through interdisciplinary projects, partnerships with local stakeholders, and student-centered action. Specifically, through initiatives like “S.O.S. – Sustainable Oxygen Solutions” within the NBS EduWORLD program,  my students participate in the creation of school gardens, exchange local seeds, collect environmental data, and engage with the wider community. Our aim is to establish the school as a hub of sustainability and innovation, fostering participation, ecological awareness, and integration of the arts and technology in education. We aspire to cultivate a school culture that promotes active citizenship and sustainable practices both in daily operations and in the educational process.

Hello from me, Maria Tsikouri,  teacher of English in a Primary school in Thessally, Greece.  I haven't been involved in projects about the environment and sustainability but I would like to know more about it so that I can use this information with my students.
