Hey, my name is Katharina and I am from Austria. My subjects are german and history and politics (secundary school). At the moment I am studing at the main university of vienna. I can't really tell a specific situation which is ESD related, because I've only had an internship at school. But the university of vienna is very included in awarness. My expectations in this MOOC are that I am going to learn how to include awareness in my future job and how to teach it to my futur pupils.

My name is Seyma and I am from Austria.
I am currently studying to become a secondary school teacher at the University of Vienna.
At my educational institution, topics related to sustainability and Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) are present, but I have mainly encountered them within the framework of a specific seminar. In most of my other courses so far, these topics have been addressed only to a limited extent. This experience has sparked my interest in ESD and motivated me to engage more deeply with it.
From the AELIA MOOC, I expect to gain a deeper understanding of ESD and learn practical ways to integrate sustainability into my future teaching. I am especially interested in methods and ideas that I can apply in the classroom to support students in thinking and acting sustainably.
I am looking forward to learning together with all of you!
